Children spend most of their time at school, and schools are one of the most common places where children are victims of crime. Together with the Blekinge County Administrative Board and the Stockholm County Administrative Board, we at the Safer Sweden Foundation have initiated a project aimed at taking a comprehensive approach to crime prevention in schools.
School is an institution where a large part of growing up is spent. Its important role in our lives and for our future cannot therefore be underestimated. At the same time, schools can be an unsafe place, with violence, threats and victimisation. The consequences of this for those affected and for society are significant.
